As a vegan dude, I was on the lookout for something tasty and packed with protein that wouldn't derail my plant-powered lifestyle.

The last mystery bag? The heat was on again, even hotter than the previous one. I was clueless, but my Chinese friend's eyes lit up. "Mala!" he exclaimed. Sichuan peppercorn and chili, a staple in Chinese hotpot! Three completely unexpected flavors, all plant-based, all mind-blowingly delicious!
